This was one of my favorite days so far. We ventured to the set of Journey to the Center of the Earth. Along the way we stopped by the ocean's shoreline. The beaches were black. As lava was mixed with broken seashells. Trust me the water was COLD. Burrrrrr. *shivers* We saw rock formation that looked like the batman symbol. WE also found a little red roofed house. It was broken down and only have one room, but it was still cute, cozy and all six of us could fit inside at once. As we traveled back from the beaches we discovered a field with a few horses in it. One mare, one stallion, and a foal minding their own business munching away at the grass. When we pulled up a few sheep came to greet us as well. The horses stayed a good distance always from us, and we often saw only their booties, it was still a very enjoyable time with the baby there. Here in Iceland Graffiti is just another art form. It’s not as looked down upon as it is in other areas of the world. on the road to the destinations mentioned above we passed an old broken-down building. Driving by we noticed a few walls were missing as long with most of the room. What surprised us even more, however, were the faces drawn on what walls were still standing. From the road you could see 3 faces. One upstairs, as the wall was broken down. The other two were on the left and back of the building. I wasn't sure if we were going to stop on the way back but I sure wanted to. I was curious about it enough to ask our Professor if we maybe could stop on the way back. To my surprise and great joy when we were headed back to our hotel our diver went out of his way to stop for us to photograph the broken old building. Upon a closer inspection of the house, still from the road still because of the fence surrounding the property, I discovered the house in fact held another hidden face. This one was located on the right side of the building. When standing on the left side of the building looking towards the front my fellow student and friend Casen discovered the front face's eye looked like they were looking through the little window on the left wall. I will attach what I'm describing below. The day was a good one. Most of these days have been good overall. I do miss home a bit though. I miss my friends, my mom, and my bed hahaha. I also miss my little dragon. He's a bearded dragon, but no less he's my little hypothetical fire breather. He's a sassy ass that’s what he is. His name is PaDaddle. Like a paddle, but Pa-Daddle. Easy peasy lemon squeezy. He is a Starburst Citrus morph, and he had his 1-year birthday in April. He is also an escape artist, unfortunate to my brother, who is looking after him while I'm away from home. My brother, D.T., has now found him out of his enclosure 3 times. Usually my dragon hides under my dresser, but this last time he was hiding under my bed. D.T. told me that retrieving him was not an easy task. He is fast, strong, and has sharp little teeth. Ouch. Everything will be ok. I 'm glad to be here still, and very thankful for this opportunity. My fingers are about to fall off, so till tomorrow.
