Day two started with a pretty, little black Church. I learned the color for the church was originally made from disassembled abandoned ship wrecks. Since trees don't regularly grow on the island the timber was highly valued. Right next to the church was a house with three beautiful horses in the fenced yard. Each horse was a brown caramel color with stunning white manes. We were instantly more taken with the horses then we were with the church. History is cool, but live animals are better. That's just my opinion, but our professor was also WAY more interested in the large creatures then the church. After the amazement with the horses passed we traveled to a beach with an island of birds not far from the shore. Having to hike up the mini cliff, on which the sea birds on the main land nested, the view was worth the sweat. Beautiful, as more cliffs lined the opposing sides to our left and right. Heading back inland we hiked up to a large light house. On the way there we passed these stunning blue and purple flowers. These tiny purple pine trees reminded me of the Texas Blue Bells, but they are called Lupins. Gorgeous flowers. We also encountered a rock formation that look just like a door. Knock Knock! I'll attach a picture, so you can see the little door handle for yourself! :) The light house itself was nice and on the top of a large hill. Only three of the six of us ventured up the large hill. This was a good day. I hope to continue to enjoy these experiences as I encounter them.
Until next time, Byyyyyye
